Moving to Mukono

Moving to Mukono

After one week in Kampala I moved to Mukono. The journey to Mukono was very comfortable, because I could go together with a man of ICU and his children, with a car. After around 45 min driving (without traffic) we arrived at the ICU guesthouse, which is located on the Besania Hill with a very nice view to the Mukono and actually to the Victoria lake. My accommodation is calling Banda; it is a small round house with a bed and a wardrobe. Some of the Bandas have also a toilet and a shower, called self-contained Bandas. Every Banda has an animal painted on the wall and mine is the zebra Banda. I installed quickly my stuff in my accomodation and then I went the Henk and Christine (she is working for SYPO, www.sypo.nl/engels) for dinner. They live also in Mukono, in a house that they bought a few weeks ago. We ate fried potato, sausages and salad in the garden of the house; it was delicious.

Friday the 25th March, I will go the small village Kikwayi in order to introduce myself, meet the manager of the yoghurt factory and the guest family. I look forward to go there.
