After the first impression of the factory by the end of March, I proposed to the Life Dairy manager to thoroughly clean the factory. During this meeting he also suggested to paint the upper part of the walls. “What a great idea!”, I though. After buying the cleaning utensils in Kampala and Mukono, I was ready for this (big) change for the factory. I was three days in the factory cleaning and washing in depth each tile of the wall (and there were a lot!), the floor, the table, the fridge and at the end the doors and the windows. The manager promised me to paint the walls on the first day, but as usual in Uganda, he began to paint on the third day. The reason was, that he received the wrong paint at the first day and the right one arrived in the late afternoon of the second day and then it was too late for the painting. He did a good job and I was happy that everyone appreciated our work.
