Conference on probiotics held at UIRI, Kampala

The conference and workshop “workshop on creating access to probiotic technology in Uganda” was held in the conference hall on UIRI campus in Kampala. The conference was a big success and twelve dairy producers immediately took a Yoba starter back home. Presentations were given by UIRI, Life Dairy and Yoba for Life in the morning. There was a group activity in the afternoon during which issues on transport of the starters and shelf life of Yoba were discussed. Health aspects and economic benefits of Yoba were also discussed and presented by a member of each working group. At the end of the afternoon UIRI distributed in house made Yoba drink to all participants, they liked it!!
