A memorable moment

A memorable moment

Dear followers,

Hereby I write my first blog on the Yoba4Life website as the new Project Leader.

I have been working here now for a little longer than 1 month and many new impressions further, I see a lot of progress in the expansion and the promotion of Yoba. The introduction of the Dried-starter for example is a fact. This dried-starter makes it way easier to produce the Fresh starter that can then be used for 50 liters of the high quality pro biotic Yoba Yoghurt. In the beginning of this year several incubatees joint a workshop at UIRI and were very impressed by our product, thanks to Dries and Barbara. Unfortunately did many of these producers not continu with Yoba Yoghurt. The good part of the story though, is that many of them did start producing (again) in the last week(s). Z-Plus and Mabira are good examples, while Grace-K is working on the Yoba yoghurt label and will hopefully start producing within the next two weeks. Hopefully we can convince HomeFresh soon as well, so You are able to find Yoba Yoghurts everywhere in the country of Uganda.

Next to that Life Dairy (Fred) is doing well with the Yoba production. Remco and Wilbert came over to Uganda for a few days and with them I went to a small kiosk in town where we actually bought Yoba Yoghurt, produced by Life Dairy. A memorable moment for Yoba!

Next few weeks I will mostly focus on the marketing of the Yoba Yoghurt, the promotion of Yoba yoghurt in for example the supermarkets and kiosks and the design for the promotional materials. My aim is to start the advertising before the Christmas days, so we can boost the Yoba sales during the busiest shopping days of the year.

I’ll keep you updated.

Hey there, I think your website might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, very good blog!
